Introducing County Fare One and Done Simmering Sauces
WHAT IS SIMMER SAUCE?
It is a flavourful, ready-to-use sauce that is designed to be simmered with ingredients such as meat, vegetables, tofu, chicken or fish to create a delicious and convenient meal.
Our simmering sauces are complete and ready for you to use, made with the same healthy ingredients as you would normally use to make a flavorful sauce from scratch. Our sauces contain no added sugars (great for diabetics and those on KETO and low carb diets) and are also gluten-free, non-GMO, low in sodium and contain zero preservatives!
As per our motto: ‘We deliver real flavour naturally!’
HOW TO USE A SIMMER SAUCE
How can you make an exciting, tasty and healthy meal without the hours of prep and have it ready to serve in about 30 minutes”? ONE AND DONE is your answer!
As easy as One, Two, Three…
One: Just sauté the meat, veg, tofu, chicken, or seafood in a frying pan with oil or butter (your choice) at a relatively hot temperature for about 3-5 minutes per side. Remove, drain oil/butter, and place your protein back into pan. Note: you can make this even simpler for yourself using precooked proteins!
Two: Add One and Done simmering sauce of choice, cover and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring every few minutes till your protein reaches the correct internal temperature.
Three: While you’re cooking your proteins you can be making your sides. One and Done can be served over rice, pasta or potatoes with a simple side of salad or steamed or grilled veg.
The Origin of One and Done Sauces
Years ago, we used to make sauces with ‘internationally inspired’ flavours like Peri-Peri and Jerk. We loved them! People loved them! But as our bio reads, we have since chosen to make all our products without preservatives, fillers or artificial sweeteners that are also gluten free and non-GMO.
So, we decided to put these sauces on hold until we were able to reinvent them to suit the needs of the folks we cook for today i.e., diabetics, those who follow low glycemic and KETO diets, celiacs and for the people cannot tolerate artificial preservatives. Our new line, One and Done, checks all the boxes. In general, they are perfect for anyone looking to get artificial ‘crap’ out of their diets!
Why are we calling them, One and Done? Well, because that’s all it takes, just one of our sauces and you can create an exceptionally delicious and healthy meal in under 30 minutes! A time saver that is perfect for your family. Perfect for entertaining.
Our One and Done Flavours
-
JERK STYLE
A Caribbean delight and a personal favorite of ours. The warm spices of ginger, nutmeg and allspice are sweetened with orange and enhanced with thyme. With a hit of Habanero and a squirt of lime this sauce becomes a unique meld of savory that is both fragrant, sweet, salty and spicy all at once!
Jerk sauce can be used in so many ways and with so many types of protein, from chicken to pork to fish to tofu but also vegetables. You can use it to spice up quinoa and rice and veggie burgers too or as a marinade for veggies, cauliflower steaks and tofu.
Perfect for a summer meal, serve your jerk inspired meal with a traditional side of Caribbean rice and peas and collard greens with a mango salad and traditional coco bread.

HAWAIIAN STYLE
This sweet and tangy sauce marries beautifully with pork, chicken, white fish, tofu and roasted or gilled vegetables like zucchini and eggplant. Pineapple forward, this sauce serve this dish over jasmine rice (or any grains) along with a simple green salad dressed with oil and vinegar is perfect.
If you are feeling creative, try grilling or broiling slices of fresh pineapple to serve with your meal. It is perfect with this dish and will take your meal to the next level of deliciousness!

SOUTH ASIAN CURRY STYLE
Mango sweet and lemony citrus with a lovely punch of hot and mild curry, this sauce is wonderful with a wide variety of meats, fish or veg. Curry dishes served over rice are most common, but any grains can work. Other accompaniments to consider; boiled new potatoes and a simple green like spinach, French bean, sweet peas, or broccoli with an added squeeze of fresh lemon. And do not forget to serve your dish with a side of warmed Naan bread. A necessity to sop up the sauce with!

PERI-PERI STYLE
A sauce so delicious they had to name it twice. Originating in Portugal the recipe migrated to Mozambique in the 15th century using African Birds Eye peppers. Peri-Peri in Swahili translates to pepper-pepper. Today it is a mainstay in South Africa.
While we do not grow peri-peri peppers here in Canada we have used a variety of peppers to recreate the lovely rich, savory and slightly sweet pepper flavour profile this sauce is known for. Along with a generous kick of lemon and cilantro this deliciously tangy sauce is warm but not stupidly hot.
This sauce, traditionally paired with chicken, also goes beautifully with pork, fish, tofu, or with a variety of vegetables cooked on the barbie or roasted in the oven. For a complete summer meal consider coconut rice, cucumber salad, corn on the cob and coleslaw as sides. Easy, unique and guaranteed to be a new family hit!
